Why Foodies Love Our Seafood Pastas

DSC_0492When choosing a menu for a fine dining establishment that prides itself on fresh seafood, special care is taken to ensure that each dish will not only excite the taste buds of the diner, but also create a unique set of meal options that will give you an experience you can’t find anywhere else. Of course there are exclusive menu items like our famous Florida Stone Crabs that aren’t widely available, but in this post we will be discussing our twists on one of the most world-renown seafood dishes: Pasta.

Successfully adding traditional pasta dishes to a gourmet menu is no simple feat. Each dish must be expertly prepared and seasoned to preserve the legacy that made each dish popular in the first place. Neapolitan cuisine dates back to the days of the Greeks and Romans, and even with nearby Mediterranean cultures adding their influences and nuances for hundreds of years, the basic seafood and pasta combination is such a perfect match that it has persisted above all others. Here at Billy’s, our freshly caught fish is the foundation on which we build our link to old Italy, all done of course with a South Florida flair.

That link, that flair, and our generous portion sizes are no better displayed than with our Seafood Marinara, which contains 1/2 of a Florida Lobster Tail, Jumbo Shrimp, Clams, Fresh Fish, and Sea Scallops! As you can see, we take pretty much everything in the sea, sautee it in white wine, garlic, parsley, and Marinara sauce, and we serve it over a bed of perfectly tender linguine. Linguine is arguably one of the most popular pastas in the world, so naturally we would use it in our cooking, and the sheer amount of flavors in this dish is sure to not disappoint.

seafoodFor those looking for a more traditional Neapolitan flavor, consider our Linguine with Clam Sauce. We prepare it Red, which is clams sauteed in marinara sauce, and White, where we sautee it in extra virgin olive oil, butter, white wine, and garlic. One of the most famous dishes from northern Italy is pasta with mussels, and we have taken this to the next level. Our Prince Edwards Island Mussels served over pasta only uses the choicest selections of mussels shipped from Canada, which are then sauteed in either our Red or White sauces and piled on top of more linguine.

Of course who could offer high end pasta dishes without a rich, creamy Fettuccine Alfredo? We go traditional with our steaming Fettuccine Alfredo with Sea Scallops, and then as you may have guessed, we turn the volume up with our Fettuccine Alfredo with Seafood, which is topped with 1/2 a Florida Lobster Tail, Fresh Caught Fish, Shrimp, Clams, and Sea Scallops! Our vegetarian guests can still indulge in our delicious pasta sauces with the Fettuccine Alfredo with Broccoli, and we even have Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and Mushrooms.

Here at Billy’s, the pasta section of our menu is proof you don’t have to go to an Italian restaurant to enjoy amazing traditional Italian seafood prepared perfectly for your palate. We have covered drink pairings for most of these dishes in previous blog posts. Be sure to check them out!
